As part of its live 2016 Atherton Summer Season performing arts showcase, Hawaii Public Radio will host four quartets from the Sounds of Aloha Chorus at the station's Atherton Performing Arts Studio for two performances on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. The audience will have an opportunity to learn about the history and musical characteristics of the barbershop art form, in a studio that is a great community resource, while hearing an entertaining and varied program featuring Funny Bones, 19th Avenue, Resonance, and Wong Fu. The quartets also will join together as an ensemble. Tickets are limited (the studio seats about 70) and are $30, $25 for HPR members, and $15 for students with valid student ID.
